In 1995, Leon Whitworth founded Window World in a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It didn't look like much, but he had big plans for this company. He wasn't going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He wasn't going to do things like they had always been done (like having slick sales representatives that show up at your house, give a three hour presentation, start their price at $1,000 or even $1,200 per window, create bogus discounts, and try to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. Or, at the other end of the spectrum, the guy who has cheap prices and an inferior product, that won't last very long, to go with it).

Leon knew to be successful, he couldn't do any of these things. The Window World way would be simple – provide superior products, installed by professional craftsmen, at the guaranteed lowest price. Simply the best for less. What more could anyone want?
